“Behold, the Lord’s hand is not so short that it cannot save; nor is His ear so dull that it cannot hear.” (Isaiah 59:1, NAS)

What do we say about our current condition, and worse yet, what do we say about God, when we say there is nothing God can do? Is there a more hopeless statement? What we end up concluding is that we are fatalistically stuck in our current situation and the God of the Universe is deaf to our cries and powerless to do anything about our situation. WOW! In the thought process of our brain, as we interpret the circumstances of our lives, we make huge conclusions about the REALITY of our situation. But are they true? Are our interpretations right? Just because we believe them to be right doesn’t mean they are. These are moments when we allow our eyes of sight to blur our vision and conclude false things about our circumstances and about our God. We are being duped by the father of lies, Satan.

The truth is (regardless of our circumstances) our God is Almighty God. He began the flow of human history with His Word alone and the creative molding of the dust of the ground. God breathed into the lifeless dirt and made mankind in His very likeness and image. God has, throughout history, proved Himself to be faithful to His promises. He has proved Himself to be the hearer of the cries of His people. He has proved that His arm is strong and mighty to deliver and set us free from all that oppresses us. This has been proved by divine action in human history over the last 6,000 to 8,000 years.

Today is NO different! God has not grown too deaf to hear your cries or too weak to do anything about them. The Bible promises that He does hear and He will act to save, redeem, and deliver. Why? Because He loves you! This is the certainty that Satan wants to rob from us. He wants us to doubt God’s love and His desire to save. Let Satan be cursed and God be praised! God does love us! God does hear us! God will move His mighty arm to save and deliver us.

He always has, and He always will!

Peace!
